Smile makeovers generally involve a combination of cosmetic and restorative dentistry procedures. No two treatments are the same because Dr. Wujick works with you to understand your needs and goals and then customizes treatment from there.Â
What do you mean by cosmetic versus restorative procedures?Â
Cosmetic dental services primarily enhance the appearance of teeth, gums, and smiles. These services are elective. Restorative dental treatments are necessary to restore the function and health of your teeth, gums, and mouth. Of course, restorative treatments at our office are also natural-looking and have a cosmetic element to them, too.

What cosmetic services may be included with my treatment?Â
Professional teeth whitening can make a big difference in the appearance of your smile by lifting stubborn stains and discoloration from your teeth. Dr. Wujick prescribes stronger whitening gels than those you can buy at the store or online. These gels really work and, since your dentist prescribes them, a safe and comfortable treatment experience is supported. Dental bonding and porcelain veneers are primarily elective cosmetic services, too. They are designed to cover up imperfections in the smile that do not affect the health or structure of your teeth and gums. Both involve preparing dental materials (resin or ceramic) and using them to cover up chips, gaps between teeth, minor spacing issues, poorly shaped/sized teeth, and other flaws as appropriate.Â
What restorative treatments are incorporated into smile makeovers?
Dental restorations are often a component of any “comprehensive” treatment, such as smile makeovers or full-mouth rehabilitation. Fractures, decay, enamel erosion, crooked teeth, and missing teeth can all mar the appearance of your smile while also affecting your oral health and overall wellness. Tooth-colored dental fillings, dental inlays, dental onlays, and porcelain crowns treat everything from smaller cavities to more extensive decay and severe cracks. Our restorations look like natural tooth structure. They combine strength and beauty when making over the look of your smile.
For more extensive spacing issues, misalignment, and bite problems, Invisalign® is a cosmetic option for straightening teeth. It uses clear aligners to reposition teeth instead of traditional braces. These aligners are not visible in the smile. And, when teeth can’t be preserved, Dr. Wujick will explore options to replace them that are natural-looking and strong – such as dental bridges and implants.

Smile makeovers start with a consultation. During this visit, Dr. Wujick asks you questions about your concerns and goals. He examines your teeth, gums, mouth, and specific areas of concern. X-rays and other imaging may be performed to understand your needs better.
